Here's a little bit of information about our angel:

Charlene Marie Richard (1947-1959) known as "The Little Cajun Saint"  was born in a small hamlet outside of Churchpoint, La, called Branch. She was a vivacious, joyful girl; "the most extraordinary ordinary girl" as her brother called her.

Charlene was playful and active, involved in 4H, basketball, horseback riding, and tending to their farm. She had a deeply mature spiritual life from a young age: singing in the choir, daily praying the rosary, gathering flowers for Mary, playing mass with her friends. Her faith was seen in her awe and wonder in simple things, weather it be imagining heaven seeing a chandelier, or finding joy in mundane tasks and chores. She was loving to little kids and babies, as well as those most outcast. She was strong and courageous in her virtue, such as helping kids being picked on, but prudent to not shame anyone.

At the age of 12 she saw a dark figure in her yard and shortly became diagnosed with an aggressive leukemia. She serenely accepted her imminent death and heroically offered her suffering as she interceded for other. After her death,  her reputation spread and people came to ask for various miracles. From heaven she continues to show an almost playful attention as she accompanies people, interceding for the young and sick. However, her greatest miracles being to change a stubborn heart back to God.
